What the decaf plan sends
The decaf plan is a decaf coffee subscription: every 2 or 4 weeks, a 12 oz bag of decaf from a different independent Washington State roaster, roasted to order and shipped in the roaster's own bag. Decaf costs $16.99 a bag, the same as any other roast. First bag free, you pay $7.99 shipping.
It is decaf every box. The quiz sets it when you answer "Skip it" to caffeine, or you can pick Decaf as the style yourself. Roast level stays your choice: light, medium, dark or mix it up.
How Washington roasters decaffeinate
Caffeine comes out of the green beans before they reach the roaster, and some roasters say how. Among the local favorites we list, these name the method on their own shops (checked September 27, 2026):

Indaba in Spokane sells an organic, Fair Trade decaf under the name Decaf Water Process. We do not promise a method in your box, because each roaster chooses their own decaf.

One decaf drinker in the house?
Make it a two-bag box. Set the first bag to your usual coffee and the second to decaf, each with its own roast level, and both come in the same box. Set it up in the plan builder.
Decaf plan questions
Does decaf cost more?
No. Decaf is $16.99 a bag, the same as every other style.
Is every decaf Swiss Water?
No. Each roaster chooses its own decaf, and some Washington roasters we list use Swiss Water while others use ethyl acetate. We do not promise a method.
Can I get half caf?
The club does not offer a half caf style. Two roasters we list sell one directly: Kuma's Momma Bear 50/50 blend and Indaba's half caf blend.
Can I pick a light roast decaf?
Yes. Roast level and style are separate choices, so decaf comes light, medium, dark or mixed.
