Longview's coffee story
Eddie B of Rivers Bend got into coffee after a trip with his father to the Papua New Guinea highlands, where they toured the Madan plantation. He trained under the roastmaster at Portland Coffee Roasters and then spent five years on farms in Hawaii's Kona region. His Tres Rios blend is named for the three rivers area where the Cowlitz, Coweeman and Columbia meet, home to his family for three generations.
Pink Tree started after a trip to Japan. Its owners came home wanting pour-over, found few cafes making it and few roasters doing light roasts for it, so they roasted their own. Each bag starts as one pound of green coffee roasted by itself, and buyers can ask for the roast graph of their own bag.
Matt and Amy at Keebler say they spent most of their lives in coffee before taking up roasting, and the team has worked in the trade since 2000.
In Kalama, He Brews began in 2006 with espresso catering at weddings and festivals. The first roasts came out of a popcorn air popper using green beans found on Craigslist. Bags given to friends and family over the holidays pushed the family to go commercial. They roast on Tuesdays and Fridays and print the roast date on each bag.

Every roaster here roasts in Washington and was operating when we read its own site, on the date its card shows (the list itself was last checked 2026-09-27). Facts come from each roaster's own pages, written in our words; we take nothing from reviews and show no ratings. No roaster pays to be listed, and a listing does not mean the roaster is part of the club. Run a roaster here and something is off?
