Their story

A trip to Japan sparked the owners' interest in pour-over, and they started roasting light coffees for that brew method. Back home they found few cafes serving pour-over and few roasters making light roasts for it, which is why they started their own. The focus is on natural, dry-processed coffees from origins such as Ethiopia, Kenya and Peru, and roasts are stopped at first crack.

Every bag starts as one pound of green coffee roasted on its own, and a sample from each batch is brewed and checked. Buyers can ask for the digital roast graph of their own bag, and the site suggests drinking the coffee black. Subscribers pick one to four bags per delivery and save 12 percent on weekly orders, 10 percent every two weeks and 8 percent monthly.
