Their story
Coffee is roasted in small batches and shipped within 48 hours, and subscriptions are roasted and mailed every other Monday. Its site walks buyers through each step from harvest and processing to roasting. The name comes from Urraco, a coffee village in Honduras the founders first visited while helping with relief after Hurricane Mitch in 1998.
They started by roasting coffee grown in Urraco at home in Shelton and giving it to friends and family before forming the company. Online orders and subscriptions ship as whole beans only, though the shop will grind a bag bought over the counter.

Roast levels run Italian Roast and French Roast. House blends include Breakfast Blend, House Blend and Cafe Veneto. Single origins on the list when we checked: Honduras, Ethiopia and Sumatra.
