The Realm Roasters is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Washington: an independent roaster based in Camas. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
Father and son Carl and Andrew Hopple built the shop around a fantasy and adventure theme. A dragon named Felix is the shop mascot, and the site credits him with roasting the beans. Andrew calls the small coffee stand the start of a bigger plan built on fantasy, community and adventure.
Tavern Blend, used as the espresso, is built from the shop's three single origins from Ethiopia, Indonesia and Mexico. The Mexico Jaltenango comes from Ek Balam, a group of about 1,054 smallholders in Chiapas formed in 2019, roughly a third of whom are women. According to the menu page, the baristas do the roasting in house, and the brand pitches its coffee as fuel for hikes and other adventures.

Roast levels run Medium. House blends include Tavern Blend. Single origins on the list when we checked: Yirgacheffe (Ethiopia), Bengkulu (Indonesia) and Jaltenango Organic (Mexico). Espresso: Tavern Blend. Offerings change with the seasons, so this is what their own pages listed on 2026-09-28.

Why buying from The Realm Roasters matters here
The shop sits near the western edge of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Miniature keychain versions of Felix, the dragon mascot, are handmade by a local artist and sold through the shop.
Every bag bought from a Camas roaster pays roasting and cafe wages in Washington, and the coffee reaches you days after roasting instead of months. That is the reason the club exists. Why local roasters matter.
