Slow Down Coffee Roasters is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Washington: an independent roaster based in Wenatchee. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
This small home roastery in the Wenatchee Valley focuses on light roasts of fruit-forward single origin coffees. Orders are handled locally by pickup or delivery, and it does not ship for now. The name reflects why it started: the roasters see a cup of coffee as a reason to set the phone aside and spend unhurried time with friends and family.
Coffees are sold under the grower's name; Finca El Espejo, for one, is a 4 hectare farm in Santa Maria, Huila, managed by second-generation grower Reinel Borbon. Its first Geisha came from Colombian producer Wilder Lazo, an anaerobic washed lot so limited that it was packed in 125 gram bags. Most of its lots are washed, but it has also offered an anaerobic honey Red Bourbon from Jorge Rojas, a Tolima grower in the ASOPEP association.

Roast levels run Light roast. Single origins on the list when we checked: Finca El Espejo (Colombia), Bella Alejandria Geisha II (Colombia), Jorge Rojas (Colombia), Jamir Munoz Pink Bourbon (Colombia) and Luis Sagche Bourbon (Guatemala).
