Their story

Bob Gamblin and Lori Loomis started the company in 2006 and run it on cowboy-style principles of courage, integrity and respect. All green coffee is certified organic arabica, and each single origin is roasted and cupped separately before blending. Roast profiles account for each bean's moisture, farm altitude and processing, and roasters also adjust for the day's air temperature, barometric pressure and humidity.

Some house blends combine several coffees, each taken to a different roast level, and orders are roasted in the sequence they arrive, with the aim of shipping within a day. The home page says Lariat took a silver medal at the 2017 Golden Bean competition, and it compares its coffee to the big, bold country where it is roasted.
