Their story
One of the team spent six weeks in Guatemala learning to roast and visiting farms before the business took shape. Online orders are roasted and shipped within a day, and the company also runs a mobile coffee cart. Looking back on the Guatemala trip, the about page says the draw was the people more than the drink, calling it "never about the coffee."
Its Cornerstone coffee is a Huehuetenango from Guatemala, where product notes say Andrew studied coffee, roasted to a Viennese level and dropped at 443 degrees as second crack begins. The house Unity blend splits a Viennese-roasted Guatemala and a natural Ethiopia half and half, and the same blend goes into its cold brew pouches. Subscription coffee is roasted within 36 hours of delivery or shipping, and a sample box holds four bags, one from each roast level.
What they roast
Roast levels run French Roast (Nostalgia). House blends include Cornerstone, Wild Child, Unity and Genisis. Single origins on the list when we checked: Flora (Guatemala) and Single Origin Specialties. Decaf: Placebo (Decaf).
