Their story
J5 describes itself as an espresso bar and coffee roaster, and its drinks use an organically grown espresso blend. The flagship bar and mercantile on 9th Street, a block off Highway 2, stocks coffee makers, brewing devices and travel gear next to its own beans. Customers can order ahead through the Joe Coffee app and collect drinks at the Front Street espresso bar.
Not everything on the menu is made in house: the chai and hot chocolate come from 5 Sparrows in Montana, and the tea is from Flying Bird Botanicals in Bellingham. A Coffee of the Month Club comes in three versions for people who want beans delivered on a schedule.

Single origins on the list when we checked: Sumatra Takengon Ketiara. Espresso: Emperor's Espresso. Decaf: Water-Processed Decaf. Offerings change with the seasons, so this is what their own pages listed on 2026-09-28.
Where to drink it
Both Leavenworth espresso bars sell its micro-roasted beans by the pound. They close on Sundays except during festivals and the Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
