Incline Coffee is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Washington: an independent roaster based in Bellingham. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
Owner Warren Schick got his start roasting in the garage on a small fluid bed machine, which the site compares to an oversized popcorn popper. The North Cascades shape the brand, and the site says every roast takes its name from one of the range's well known volcanoes. The dark Espresso Blend combines three coffees: Huehuetenango from Guatemala, West Valley from Costa Rica and Nyeri from Kenya.
Its FTO Guatemala comes from ACODIHUE, a cooperative with Fair Trade and organic certification that was set up in 1996. Beyond coffee, the shop sells a Dusty Masala chai tea blend in both regular and decaf versions, along with branded caps, beanies and tumblers.
What they roast
Roast levels run Medium-light, Medium and Dark. House blends include Espresso Blend (dark) and House Blend (medium). Single origins on the list when we checked: Burundi (medium-light), Kenya (medium-light), Costa Rica (medium) and FTO Guatemala (medium). Espresso: Espresso Blend. Mount Shuksan Decaf Roast (Swiss Water decaf from El Diamante, Guatemala). Offerings change with the seasons, so this is what their own pages listed on 2026-09-28.

Why buying from Incline Coffee matters here
The decaf carries the name of Mount Shuksan, fitting the roaster's habit of naming coffees after Cascade peaks. The product page explains that Shuksan comes from a Lummi word said to mean high peak, and places the 9,135 foot mountain just east of Mount Baker.
