Olympic Crest Coffee Roasters is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Washington: an independent roaster based in Lacey, founded in 1996. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
On-site roasting in Lacey dates to 1996, now on a Diedrich IR-12 with computer profile controls. The company notes that its Diedrich roaster runs on ceramic infrared burners with heat exchangers, a design meant to cut emissions and give the roaster tight control of each batch. Besides the cafe, it supplies wholesale coffee to espresso shops around the south Sound.
Two house espresso blends anchor the wholesale menu: Milano, a medium roast in the northern Italian style, and Sicilian, a darker southern Italian style, both delivered free. The cafe cooks breakfast and lunch in house and offers free wifi, next to a pair of drive-up windows.

Roast levels run French Roast. House blends include House Blend. Single origins on the list when we checked: Colombian, Costa Rican, Ethiopian, Guatemalan and Sumatran Grade 1. Espresso: Espresso Milano (medium) and Espresso Sicilian (dark). Decaf: Decaf Blend, Water Processed. Offerings change with the seasons, so this is what their own pages listed on 2026-09-28.

The Pacific Avenue cafe opens at 6am Monday to Saturday and 7am on Sunday, and its drive-thru runs until 6pm every day.
