Their story
The owner, David, relocated from California to Seattle in 2011 and grew interested in pour-over coffee before starting the roasting business. Beans are roasted to order in small batches, and orders usually leave within one to two business days. The FAQ lists Ethiopia, Colombia, DR Congo and Guatemala among its sources and says it only buys specialty grade coffee scoring 80 or above.
Subscribers pick a favorite roast or a surprise single origin each month and get early access to new releases and discounts. Before Seattle's coffee scene changed his taste, David drank $1 cups from McDonald's, the story page says. It also sells wholesale to cafes, offices and events, and its decaf options include Guatemala and Colombia.
