Their story
Donna and Mark met as art majors at Central Washington University and launched the business in 1990 from a Scamp trailer turned espresso bar. The roastery on Washington Avenue in Ellensburg roasts, packs and distributes everything in house, roasting fresh each day. Wholesale partners pour its coffee across Washington and in Oregon, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska.
Mark, the master roaster, adjusts airflow, temperature and roast time to suit each green coffee, which arrives straight from the importer. While at Central Washington University, Mark worked in restaurants and Donna as a hairstylist to pay their way.
What they roast
House blends include Hi-Octane and Lion's Rock. Single origins on the list when we checked: Colombian Supremo, Costa Rican, Sumatra, Guatemalan and Kenya AA. Decaf: Colombian Decaf; Sumatra Decaf. Offerings change with the seasons, so this is what their own pages listed on 2026-09-28.
