Blossom Coffee Roasters is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Washington: an independent roaster based in Vashon, founded in 2003. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
Roasting on Vashon Island since 2003, it supplies cafes and grocers around Seattle. Every batch goes through a vintage German Probat UG-15, 25 pounds at most, with a lean toward light and medium-light roasts. Roasting happens Monday through Thursday, and most orders leave within one or two business days. Customers can also subscribe through a Bottomless scale that reorders as the bag runs low.
Recent single origins include a washed Rwanda from the Gatsibo district and a Mexico Altura Veracruz from smallholder farmers, and the shop now sells its own green, black and herbal teas.

Roast levels run Light and Medium-light. House blends include Dark Side of the Moon, Espresso Velluto, Deja Vu, First Light Breakfast Blend, Nectar, French Roast and Cold Brew Blend. Single origins on the list when we checked: Rwanda Rulindo Murambi, Guatemala Joyabaj, Mexico Altura Veracruz, Ethiopia Ardi and Mandheling Gayo. Espresso: Espresso Velluto.
