Manifesto Coffee is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Washington: an independent roaster based in Tacoma, founded in 2016. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
Opened in 2016, the Tacoma shop pairs its coffee with heavy metal and rock music and a dark industrial look. Roasting happens on a 25 pound San Franciscan machine, in a building whose main room also houses a private collection of classic cars. The roaster buys organic, fair-trade single origin beans from many countries, and the lineup changes often as lots come and go.
Its online menu has included Rebel and Lux blends, an espresso, a decaf and single origins from Colombia's Cauca, Ethiopia's Yirgacheffe, Chiapas in Mexico, Papua New Guinea and Sumatra.

House blends include Rebel Blend and Lux Blend. Single origins on the list when we checked: Colombia Cauca, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Mexico Chiapas, Papua New Guinea and Sumatra.
