Their story
The company takes its name from Bruno, the owners' dog, whom they nicknamed Bruno BrownDog. Beans come in a keepable glass jar with home-compostable refill bags, a plastic-free setup the owners adopted with their young son's future in mind. Roasting happens on Fridays, and orders ship or are delivered by the following Monday.
Cafes buying wholesale get beans in food-grade, PFAS-free buckets; the roaster collects the empties at the next delivery, cleans them and uses them again. Refill subscribers save 16% on each order, and new customers start with the glass jar and a first batch of beans. Its Bruno's Forever Jar coffee, a washed Colombian Caturra, is tied to the Colombia 4 Project, which the shop says supports farming communities.

House blends include Eco Hound (Tehaleh Blend, medium roast). Single origins on the list when we checked: Just Beggin (Guatemala), Squirrel (Ethiopia), Bark to Earth (Brazil Cerrado Mineiro) and Bruno's Forever Jar (Colombia).
